Default occ install question

so i finally installed my occ today and i noticed my afr at idle ac off is at 14.7 .as soon as i turn the ac on it starts jumping around between 14.7 and 15.2 .. is this normal ?
i double checked all the connections everything is nice and tight .

Only parameter that I can think of that the OCC would mess with directly are the vacuum/boost levels.

Monitor boost, make sure you're nearly 20psig in a vacuum and that you're boosting fully.

I had an issue with my hose trying to collapse- when heated and under a strong vacuum. You'd never know looking at it cold/parked.

Couldn't think of a code that would pop..doesn't mean there aren't any, but again, I can't think of one.

Just watch that vacuum.

if i turn the defrost for the windsheild on or anytime the ac compressor kicks on it bounces up and down between 14.7 and 15.2 and holds closer to 14.9
i just got back from a quick drive couldnt get her goin too fast due to traffic, i am getting about -12 or so vacum and it seems to be holding boost ..afr seems normal during driving so i am going to drive it for a few days and see if anything changes..
the hoses may shape themselves and seal better once they heat up enough (i hope)
as long as she doesnt lean out too much i should be good. if it dont settle down in a couple days i may pull the hoses off and start over ,not that i want too..

Your fine. When the compressor kick on and off it puts more strain on the crank and will change the fueling (afr). It will lean out a bit when it first kicks on and then adjust itself back to stoich. So long as it goes back to 14.7 when you turn it off then it is normal and there is no leak. Your vac, as long as the values you gave are in psi and not ingh. are where they should be. Go drive and have fun.

This is why you do not run your A/C when racing.

Secondly, I don't know what hose you're using- but I don't like mine flexing much when they heat up. Again, the issue I mentioned above, that causes the deep vacuums to misshapen them

the occ kit has been sitting in my basement for about 9 months ( actually got it for my cx7)with the hose coiled up like a snake so it took a bit of bending ,twisting and alot of cursing to get it all straight and routed as per the install guide..
when i said the heat may help i kinda meant it would warm up the hose enough so it would not want to coil up anymore ..
thanks for the replies and educating me a little more.
