Ahh yes, thats on the list as well. gonna make sure there are no leaks on the lights for condensation, once i confirmed that, then ill be using the Lamin-x film

PPF is the same thing you linked from lamin X

I did polish/compound off the yellow from my oem lights then brought it to my friends shop who used automotive clear coat on them. I'm just surprised how quickly they did peel on my oem set. I do reverse into my driveway and the sun arcs over it, so UV rays all day.

So do you think i should go with 2k Clear coat, like the clear they use on cars instead?

To reply to your above comment. Do the 2k clear, give it some time to gas out, then cover with PPF. I wish I did PPF to my M2 and after 2 drives to the interior the front end/headlights are peppered and too far gone for PPF

Also check this video i linked, start at 5:30 seconds, it explains the different methods of clear you can use, the guy explains that spray on clears can distort the refraction of light coming out of the headlight, but idk tell me what you think when it gets to that part.

With all my research I never stumbled upon that video. Nice find. I wonder how it will look if you distort the refraction but balance it out with really good projectors.

My opinion of PPF still stands; however, that video makes me second guess going with too heavy of a clear

Yeah man, definitely one of the coolest videos ive seen on headlight restoration and the methods for clearing it, well remember factory headlights all come with a "UV" clear coat on it and they project fine, but like you said i guess it all depends on how heavy you are with the clear.

i think im gonna try ceramic coating over my lenses since they are both brand new.

The UV mix with the UV light to harden is the best option sadly its also the most expensive.

Final Update guys, got the lights on months ago, just been too busy to find the time to upload these.

I also did a Corksport front lip which you'll see in one of the pictures, Corksport BBK, SS brake lines, new rotors and pads and a ton of things you cant see. Scale coilovers with swift springs and ISC coilover covers, Moog front lower control arms, Moog inner and outer tie rods, Scale end links, Rear lower moog control arms, SPC upper camber arms, Whiteline front sway bar bushings, Corksport Rear sway bar with bushings, White line bumpsteer kit, with all that suspension work now i have an annoying front end clunk i didnt have before so now i gotta address that. Eric yarborough Oil return line since my stock one was leaking, valve cover gasket leak, Corksport Big bore TB, got an HTP 3.5 intake i havent installed yet etc etc

So yeah lots been done to the car, but the lights are on the car done, so enjoy the pics.

I dont have many demon eye pics, because the bluetooth controller keeps draining the battery so i disconnected it, will be wiring a separate switch in the spring to cut the power from the battery when the car is off.

Lmaaaoooo Thanks man, the traffic on this site is slow so im probably not gonna post anymore pics but when summer rolls around and register her again maybe ill do professional shots.

i have a consistent oil leak which i think is now the rear main seal so i gotta assess that, gonna do a turbo manifold too one shot and retune.
