On my side i did the cx7 brakes but caliper piston are rusted....will finish it tonight to be able to haul the rv this weekend...

So, finally placed my order with Cobb for the Accessport and HPFP.

Now the wait begins as I am on the other side of the World.. almost.

Quick wash, oil change and installed a CS HPFP.

threw a P0455 code and lumpy idle with gas smell. replaced the purge solenoid check valve, code went away, idle came back. just turned 130k, doing oil and filter tomorrow.

Wow car is feeling awesome , smooth for normal driving and delivering a healthy shove of increasing boost as you get on it.

I am at 106k so yesterday I swapped the coolant, thermostat, water pump and replaced the serpentine belt. My thermostat and water pump were completely fine but I just swapped them since I was changing the coolant. Going back, I don't think I would have bothered replacing them since they were both perfectly operational. Man, the serpentine belt was an absolute bitch to do by myself. I had to put a breaker bar on the tensioner, hold it with my head and then hold the belt in place and use another breaker bar to turn the crank in order to get the belt on. The new one was really tight. I broke the bolt brackets on the splash guard where the under tray attaches so I had to ghetto rig it back on. I'm pretty sure I've got all the air out of the coolant system. It was surprisingly easy on this car. It was an absolute bitch on my 2003 WRX.

Had Tires/wheels rotated , balanced and alignment done today.

Got home to see my inter cooler cover still sitting on the floor in the garage ( forgot to reinstall it after changing the clamp on the turbo to inter cooler pipe)

Engine is being built from Overspeed Motorsports. It finished up last Friday and will ship tomorrow. I plan on spending about 3-4 weekends with the swap. I'm hoping it won't be too big of a PITA

Rotella T6 oil change, Wix filter, and spark plugs today. While the intercooler was off, I noticed some oil starting to puddle in the inlet boost tube - starting a separate thread on that.

Did an oil change then parted it out

Car drives amazingly and on the way to trade it in I was almost regretting it. I went from full bolt on minus turbo, and traded it in with just suspension mods.

Did an oil change and cleaned the MAF sensor. Going to install Autotech HPFP this weekend.

What did you trade it in for?

Tomorrow I shall be changing the serpentine belt, changing the power steering fluid, changing the coolant, and oil/filter change. Last week I rotated my tires, and should be able to get through this winter with them (that would be 30k miles on them).

I got into autox/hpde days in the speed3 and was fortunate enough to also have the opportunity to mentor novices and drive many different cars. While the speed3 was fun on track (i was full bolt on plus bucket seats) I ended up lusting for more "luxury" and speed after driving many different cars from porsches to jdm imports.
