Default 50/50 SRI Only

Results so far. Only mods are hack job SRI (leftover from my speed 6 cut to fit), Autotechs and AP. Through one tank and 3 or 4 tune iterations. 19psi and 19* at 6.5k. AFR's drifting around because I used my memory of filling up my 6 when the gas light was on. So I tried to do 7/7 and needless to say....theres an extra gallon of corn floating around in there for now.

They're consistent so far. I've only been tuning it on E for a week so I'm getting everything dialed in before I try bumping things up. What were your mods when you cracked 300?

I think I was 3" SRI/MAF housing to 2.5" TIP, and a catback. Stock TMIC and DP at the time. So more or less, just an intake and CBE. Still rocking dat stock TMIC. lol I should really get rid of that thing...

I think I was making around 315HP and 340TQ rather consistently. It was pretty damn quick on just an intake. Granted, my car was also new; like 15k miles.

I don't have my timing set TOO aggressive yet so I know there's still some wiggle room. I can only assume you were using a 1.01 cf as well so I'm not sure if I'll get to 300 though. One way to find out.

Yeah, I use CF1.01 with smoothing set to 3. This was also on my final map for those mods. We obviously retuned after the DP was added.

Progress, fully dialed in for the most part. Still just hackjob SRI with dinky Spectre filter (only way it would fit), Autotechs and AP. No other mods. This was the middle of 4 logs. 1 lower 2 other slightly higher but all +/- 8 whp or so.





@CWP_MS3;

I'm sitting with wot AFR's at 12.0 currently. Did you experiment at all running leaner, i,e was there power to be had?

Rich tuned the car, not me. I don't know the first thing about tuning. lol

I'm more familiar with things now, and this intake only was back when I didn't really know much. We were targeting 12 AFR until recently, but I'm not sure if it was the same back then.

Looks pretty good. Reading higher than my vdynos with several more mods than you running 3/10 E85 mix. My timing seems very conservative vs. yours though. Care to post a log up?

Edit: Just realized you are not an MPS6 still...makes me feel a bit better as the AWD eats up some of that power vs a 3. Still interested to see a log if you want to post one up

Do a test pipe and I think you'll be able to free a ton of boost up top. Easy/cheap mod too. Solid numbers. A bit too lean for my taste, but not all too shabby.

It's my understanding that these cars don't really care too much about the AFRs you target (power wise) and that it's timing that makes (and breaks) how much power you put down on corn. If memory serves, it was @phate; that came to this conclusion; please correct me if I'm wrong.

That said, you're stock turbo so dialing an 11.75 or 11.5 is a good safety net that will provide a bit more cylinder cooling, keeping the rings and whatnot happy. I'd also go to a bigger intake (I was running a 3.5 JBR aluminum for a long time stock turbo) for a bit more airflow/boost up top, and keep the torque under 350 and you'll have a quick little ride for quite some time.

Ugh I know heh. I had my cp-e nano left from my speed 6 so i cut it short but the only way to get it to fit was to throw a SERIOUSLY small filter on it. I figured it was free so why not. So between that, stock tip, dp, tp and cbe and the fact thats its still a k04 shes not inclined at all to boost up top.

@Enki; I'm eying the JBR full intakes for sale in the FS section. But with putting 1k down on the car, then buying the internals and ap before I even had my plates on it heh, I'm tapped for a few weeks.

Also, about the AFRS's, that sounds familiar and I think it was @phate; that said that in his original corn thread....i think...

Eventual plan is to have full 3in+ intake and probably nator the tp. That is all I plan for as long as its stock turbo. If i can make the same power on E without all the noise of full catless plus 3in exhaust I'd like to.

Try to target boost/wgdc to get it to hold 16-17psi up top and I'd bet you'd be near 300whp/350tq. Definitely don't need any more cylinder pressure below 4000rpm, just try to extend that torque curve out farther and the HP will fall into place.

Lol there is nothing more to be had up top. WGDC is at 100% from 5k up. It will boost what it will boost.

Incorrect. Boost reference to manifold vs comp housing + larger diameter intake = exploded comp wheel w/20 psi @ 6k rpm.
