Default E85 for 2010 ms3

What is required to be replaced to convert to 100% e85 no mixing?

You need to upgrade your flux capacitor and remove the internals in your HPFP. The latter is the biggest restriction in the system.

Hey OP, I`ll jump in before there ends up being advice you actually take and it a detriment LOL.

You really don`t "need" anything in particular to run full corn, other than a desire to keep an unnaturally vigilante eye on your HPFP performance. While not a guarantee, full E85 has been known to cause the "black death", a sticky, gooey glob that gums up the pump internals.

Is there a safer blend of fuel to avoid black death to start off with.

In an effort to not pollute your opinion of the platform or your fellow owners (lol. Love you fuckers), I`ll give you a bit of free advice regarding your query:

(1) you don`t need full corn. Ever. Despite what Enki may tell you.
(2) The most common blend is 25% E85, and reports of black death on that mix are rare, though not unheard of.

(3) E85 when you`re not tuned for it doesn`t really help much. Your gas mileage will go in the shitter and you won`t really see any performance benefit.

(4) Read.

(5) read some more

(6) then read even more.

(7) It is recommended to put your mods in your signature so the rest of us can see what you`re working with. A lot of times people new to the platform have questions about doing things in an order that will be less than optimal, and could potentially blow your shit up. If we can see you`re not on the right path, we can offer corrective actions.

(8) this particular forum is unforgiving at it`s best, so refer to 4, 5, and 6 as often as possible.

Absolute heresy of the highest order. You are hereby ex-communicated from the holy order of yellow alcohol.

As for black death, it happens on every car, regardless of fuel but depends on oil. How long it takes to happen depends on fuel used and oil, but will happen even on pump gas given enough time and a shitty enough oil.

You done fucked up.

There's really no point in having an upgraded ITFP unless you're planning on running a large turbo with all supporting modifications, and trying to hit well in excess of 450whp.

What you actually needed was upgraded HPFP internals, a proper tune, and to fucking READ.

When you say shitty enough oil are you refering to the actual type of oil or the lack of maintenance (oil changes) or both? I have read through a ton of your posts because I just made the switch to about a 4 gal e85 mix about a month ago. Thanks for the research you have done btw it was helpful.

I boiled ethanol in a pot by itself with multiple surfaces to ellicit a chemical response (create sticky). It failed to do so until after I turned up the heat *AND* added some Rotella T6, in which case it took mere seconds to develop a sticky film.

T6 in full corn does not last long before a sticky film is generated; RP Dexos lasts longer, but extra precautions need to be taken.

This is, however, all covered in more than one thread, more than once.
