Gauging interest for upgraded fuel injectors

I have been talking to the OEM manufacturer hitachi. who made the OEM di injectors in our speeds. They are interested in making aftermarket injectors but they need need a shop who can sell them to message them. I have reached the limit since im not a shop here are the emails. Please read and comment.

I found the O.E part number for the Fuel Injector that go the applications you listed below is L3K9-13-250A. It could be Hitachi part but I do not show it currently being offered in our after market program. You can view all our products and offerings in the Hitachi Catalog at www.hitachi-automotive.us. Just click on "Aftermarket" under the "Product" Column. The Catalog is not the right side of the page. Just click on it to view.

If we do find it to be Hitachi product it maybe possible to modify existing ones depending on what fuel injector specifications need to be meet for your purpose.

Please let us know the following information below.
What will the annual volume be for the first year you expect to be purchasing?
Annual Volume for 2nd year?
Annual Volume for 3rd year?

I do not know that number. It is probably based on many factors such as tooling and design cost. I cannot proceed without some sort of forecast on your part. Would you say more than 1000 units per year to start off with increased volume in the next 5 years?

Our stock injectors are made by Nippon. Who is owned by Denso last time I checked. I wish you best of luck OP, this road has been gone down before. With literally no success.

Really don't wanna be bitter (much...) but how many /years/ do ya think it would taks to sell 1000 injectors?

Generically, that'd be 250 cars right? 1000/4=250
This forum has, arguably, most of those who would purchase, and just a random guess, but what, maybe 10 sets instantly, and another 20-30 sets after that if they turn out to be the mecca that's desired. So, that's 40, maybe 50 sets if we add another 10 cars for good measure.

For positive mental attitude let's double that number- so now we're at 100 sets. Less than half that manufacturers first year goal.

Alas, the numbers aren't there....
