Default Pupu FTL...

Fuel level sensor told me to get fucked this morning. Just filled up and the gauge had no fuel bars on it, and the light was on. The I started driving and with the more miles/bumps I hit, the more fuel I got back. By the end of my 50+ mile trip, it was reading correctly again, but who knows how long that will last.

Model: ms3
Milage on e: 50/50 about 5k and 8 gal of e to 6 gallons of 93 for about 2k. Total of about 8-9 months. Not my daily so at one point I left it parked for 2 weeks and gauge was done.
Warrantied: pffft $30 part and 1 hour of work.

Where my wires connect to the actual sensor was corroded as if it were sitting in a salt bath. I wish I would have taken a picture.
I believe a Juan's gauge is analog.... Maybe why we dont here it happening on them as much.

How did everything else look when you pulled it?

At least we have an access hole under our rear seats, so we don't have to drop the tank.

Done.
I switched out the pump aswell so I had the entire thing taken apart. Nothing else looked affected except for the one spot I refereed to. I know Honda guys use a marine sealent to cover the sensor and it seems to work fine. If mine goes bad again I will definetly be doing it.

We have an access hole but its to small and needs to be cut bigger to allow the basket to be pulled out. The one up we have on Juan's is that we require no special tools to remove the cover, just a screwdriver.

It's not thou. U need to cut the hole bigger. Its only big enough to fit your hand to undo the fuel line and and plug.

I think theres one if you look up switching out the fuel pump. But its pretty straight forward... Remove back seats, lift the cover with 4 screws, cut hole bigger using air nippers, dremel or cut off wheel, unplug fuel line and single plug, undo screws and pry the entire basket out, the sensor is held in place by a push clip undo it and slide straight up, undo the plug, repeat in reverse for installation.

about 10K on E
(4GL Mix)

Mine Just started, I was out of town and had to chage to the 93 map, once i filled got back in the car, and i had only one fuel bar, but like @CWP_MS3; the bars kept on rising the more I drove... as of now i have driven about 30 miles and its shows full, but my miles to empty still show like a ridiculous low ammount, I will run 93 for a while now maybe this will help

They've ordered me a new sensor, just waiting for that to come in, and then hopefully I'll have my car back.

I believe it was cheap. Fro, from VA said it was like $30-40 bucks for the part, and about an hour or so to do.

No demoding done, but that is my dealer. They just drop the tank, they did have to drop the exhaust (from the axle-back).

Definitely take E85 out of the tank and change the tune back to a 93 map, maybe even one with low timing. This way if they take the fuel out to do the FL sensor, you don't have to worry about the wrong mix being put back in, or running aggressive timing with mixed fuels, like 87 octane.

He sent me a text today saying they want me to come pick it up and bring it back when it has less fuel in it. So I'll have to switch back to a 93 map for convenience. I had filled up when it decided to take a shit. I'll probably take it back to them next weekend.

Just refilled with 93 and everything is back to normal, full bars of fuel, even the range got fixed, (it was stuck on 80 miles)... so far so good =)

While i was on 93 everything was fine, went ot my 2Gl map and everything was fine. then flashed my 4Gl map and after half a tank everything was screwed... Soooo i have an appointment saturday to get checked... but i already found another thread with help. here it is if needed: Those with bad fuel level sensors

TL;DR, My sensor is screwed, need to replace this part if im not cover under warranty BBN660960.. less than 50 bucks
