Regarding Cobb AP. From what i read you now have to take a PAID online course to learn about the software first before they let you download it (coming soon).
Versatuner has some great features, probably more than Cobb and an excellent service and help. Also you can use a Tablet so you can run a dashboard, much easier than a small screen. I use a BT OBD2 to my android phone that does the job for boost/knock/fuel pressure etc

About the scan gauge interface, can you give an exemple ? Is it similar to Torque app with a BT dongle ?
Have you compared the reading speed of it ? Torque let you set some warning limits that will buzz while driving, is the VT interface do that too ?

Yes Torque App. I am in NZ so i purchased this:

There will be others on the market. Honestly i don't think it's speed is the best. It gives me an indication etc. But for full logging and tuning i would probably only ever use cable to be safe.

Plus i can use it to diagnose my friends car when they have faults

VT also has bluetooth logging now. So as long as the laptop/tablet has bluetooth and you have a BT OBDII connected you are good to go. Never flash a map using BT though, that goes for ANY tuning solution. The BT protocool it self is not stable enough to ensure 100% connectivity.

VT has an "Alarm" feature on the Dashboard. You can enable it for pretty much any logged parameter. KR for example. Set the alarm to 1.5 and it will flash red on the screen and if you want you can also enable a sound. Sounds like the alarm in a action movie where the nuclear power plant is about to blow up

Ok but for reasons out of my knowledge, with the same BT dongle, i get a lot more faster responses from Forscan than Torque. I don't want to start a debate about it here but i was just asking if the gauge panel comming with the VT interface can work as fast as the AP/Dashhawk or if it is slow like torque and miss some event....

1 other issue that i'm currious about how VT interface handle it is about boost reading. Can it read above 22.5psi relative?

Tuning correctly is 1 thing but monitoring is another important one...And at this point, all the monitoring solution i have tested so far lack something usefull...If there is 1 that do all, i would seriously think about switching to it just because of that.

Can VT :
-read fast and log as fast. (Can it use the gauge screen with the cable interface on a tablet?)
-read all specific Mazda data correctly with a correct scale for boost and knock ?
-allow alarms and buzz if knock, overheat, overboost etc (Serious lack from the AP V3)
-Allow max and min frozen frame (like torque/ap)
-Allow personal configuration of gauge quantity and location ?

I heard it works with metric unit and absolute pressure, is it still the case or there is a function to switch to imperial ?

Could i buy a VT licence for tuning my wife CX7 but use the Gauge interface for my speed and continue using the AP to tune it ?
Can we change the VIN associated with the licence to another vehicule like mary/unmary the AP ?
