Looks great, guys! My 3.5" system shipped today. I have a friend who went up over 40 grams/second with another 3.5" intake system, so I'm eager to install you guys' on my car ASAP!

Also, AWESOME prices!

beachshoer 01-03-2013 06:55 PM

Very nice! Will be ordering one of the 3" intakes with battery tray combo packs shortly to pair up with the new BNR S3.

DamagedGoods 01-03-2013 08:15 PM

I was hoping this announcement would be coming! Was ready to order, but I may wait for the dry flow option. Which brand of dry flow will you be shipping?

Will intro pricing last until they come in?

Speed6 owner rejoice at a quality 3" intake that's not $400+

Thanks guys!!!

burn813 01-03-2013 10:23 PM

I have been running a htp 3.5in for over a yr with no issues.... I also have the 51r battery box..... I can tell you, having my motor build by them and rocking a ton of their parts..... There is no better quality than Matt's workmanship.

Unlike many companies that produce items for the mazdaspeeds, Matt personally makes everything you see and is unwilling to sell something that is less than perfect.

Sweetsandman 01-04-2013 04:34 AM

Oh I want 3.5 inches so bad!!

(someone say it)

I Tapped that

kish89 01-04-2013 05:14 AM

Finally full 3" intake for great price.
Only question is will this fit MS6 with standard battery?
If answer is yes, ordering it right now! :)

Any way to order without a filter?

Dr. Speed 01-04-2013 06:30 AM

Yes!! I'll be getting a full 3" as soon as those dry-flow filters are available

maisonvi 01-04-2013 06:32 AM

Hmm, I really like the 3.5", might have to save up for this.

Any one have any idea if I would see much in the way of gains on a K04 over my CP-E CAI and 2.5" TIP? I cant seem to find the diameter of the CP-E CAI.

does the 3" intake clear the stock battery box/ECU in the speed3 or does the ECU have to be relocated?

Like with our 3" TIP, the 3" intake fits with the stock battery box and does not require that the ECU be relocated. However, the lower ECU cover does need to be removed.

I would also like to know this, I'm pumped to get this in. Was just wondering what brand/spec of dryflow you're planning on so I can decide whether to order an AEM or not.

Thanks for getting this out there!

We'll have the AEM Dryflow filters back in stock on Tuesday, Jan. 8, so if you're wanting the AEM over the K&N we'll have them ready to roll out the door on Tuesday.

I havent really done much searching, but whats the advantage/disadvantage for dry vs oiled? Dry seems like the way to go from what I can tell.

In terms of flow they are similar it comparing AEM to K&N. However in terms of cleanliness and maintenance dryflow is better. Coating the MAF in oil is no fun either.

Yeah thats kinda what i was reading. Why would any one go oiled?

rfinkle2 01-04-2013 03:45 PM

The integrated and secured maf straightener is a really nice feature. I am still enjoying my battery box and 3" TIP.

NICKELL666 01-04-2013 04:38 PM

I'm trying to decide if I want the 3 or 3.5...... Hmmmm I'm so close to pushing the button

reducing PR in front of the compressor of any turbo is nothing but goodness...and a larger intake does just that.

IshiKage 01-04-2013 05:35 PM

will be ordering the 3.5" and batt tray before the end of the month

aldekei 01-07-2013 05:48 PM

The AEM Dryflow filters are in today so all intakes will be shipping out with those. Let us know if you have any questions!

torq 01-08-2013 09:10 PM

3" ordered!, will take picture of how it fits with stock tray. I would feel bad about replacing a 2 year old battery, seems mean. Looking forward to it.
