CorkSport: More Hood Scoop. Need input.

Lots of people suggested this. So we started on it today. Making the first out of fiberglass. Then we will make a mold and make them out of carbon.

Any chance you can show some more angles of it, with the understanding that it's in its prototype state? Also, is the projected benefit ultimately lower BATs due to more airflow to the intercooler?

The idea is 50% to lower BAT and 50% looks. I'll post a few more once we get a little further along with the idea. If this is something that people don't want then we can always stop working on it. Or it becomes a one off on our car.

True, but I think the wind would grab this more than that. I'm sure it will be tested at some rediculous speed before release to the public (or at least I hope).

We need more angles but my initial thought is...no thanks. The pu has fairly subtle styling as far as the scoop goes and everything flows with the body...this kinda doesn't.

Anyway glad I have a juan with a front mount...solves both problems.

Yeah, the pu is already kind of wild with the looks already. idk if I'd go for something like that but I'm sure lots of people will. If it is actually functional that's a big reason to get one. Lowest I see BATs even with my CS top mount is still between 10-20 above ambient and that's only during a part of my first WOT run of the day.

I'm in if price is around or under the $200 range. Carbon fiber will not do much as selling point since it will be painted to match or wrapped. (If I can free up enough time to wrap my car, damn side jobs keep me busier than my actual job it seems like sometimes). Either way I like the idea and I'm in to give it a try.
