Your over complicating this. It's exactly the same as your Raceland and my H&R. Push down on the lower control arm. Place the adjusting perch into the upper control arm and the lower tip of the spring into the notch in the lower control. Reinstall the 17mm control arm bolt an torque to 65lbs and your done.

The adjusting perch will stay where it is once it's installed. No need to mess with any bolts.

It just looked sketchy as hell so I had to check before doing anything. To Raceland's credit, their set up made a lot more sense haha Thanks guys!

One final question, on the camber plates, what designates one degree of camber? 5 or 10 lines?

Thanks. It'll look better when I snag some wheels.

There's an adjustment ring/collar/whatever at the top. I actually forgot to adjust the rears. I'm hoping it won't be a bitch to reach up there and adjust them..

the adjustment is made by that little black dial you see near the mounting point.

im not sure on this but i can check. usually the marks are just their so you can gauge from one side to the other where you are in your adjustment.

the front can definitely support stock ride height but i would say the rear may be a tinch lower then stock at max height.

i also spoke to Wei about the MS6 coils and he told me his supplier has changed alot of their rules and he can no longer order 2-4 sets at a time. the minimum order is 20 sets now so we wont be ordering anymore until these are gone!!!

Alright so despite what you guys said, I went ahead and put the bolt through the perch. There is no doubt in my mind that this is how it is supposed to go. It's machined perfectly to accept the bolt and sits nicely on the upper control arm now.

The front feels fine, and that's actually about how mine fits too. Just barely tucking tire. I'm going to attempt to adjust the rear shocks this weekend, so hopefully with that it'll feel a lot stiffer.

You won't regret it! These things are beautiful and when you get into it, it's obvious that attention was put forth to make these specifically for our cars. My only complaint so far is the fact that you can't change camber once they are on, not sure how others are in this regard and the studs are not long enough to use accept a strut tower brace. At some point when I'm feeling ambitious I'll pop out the studs and use some bolts. The ride is great however.

At some point when I'm feeling ambitious I'll pop out the studs and use some bolts. The ride is great however.
FWIW @doubleflusher used a hole saw to gain full access to the camber plate. maby he can post some picts?

I figured that was a viable option but was scared it would impact structrual integrity. I'd love to see a picture! I have way too much negative camber at the moment haha

Yep around that much, it will suck with a hand drill but I'll probably do it. The car drives so good that I have a new found love for my speed.

Damn, really bad news on the reordering of the MS6 coils! I would drop the cash on these instantly if they were in stock. Oh well. What does the wait time look like now? Or is it undetermined because of having to sell all the MS3 sets first? Bummer

More importantly, what size hole saw did you use?

I am very interested! @72k my stockers are very bad... However, recently got bunch of stuff from NATOR FL guys, so was not planning to get a set till October-November...

So, the benefit here $100 off MS3 coils if 5 people get them? Otherwise the retail price is $999 and $1099, right?

Also, @dpolseno41 what do you mean you can't change caber? So, there is no way to do proper alignment after installation? Or, I'm missing something?

Without any modifications, doing an alignment will be miserable, the whole strut needs to be removed to change the camber the way it is now. I looked at how much would need to be cut away to reveal the whole camber plate and it seems to be quite a lot. I'm awaiting some pictures from @doubleflusher.

Are the other coilovers the same way? Yes, pictures will be very nice, since I don't know a thing about it So, if we want proper alignment done, we need to get V3 only?

No a proper alignment can be done with these, just the struts will have to be removed to adjust the camber if need be.

I want a set of S3 for gen2 ms3, but won't be ready to buy until the middle of August. Has the OP been updated to show what's currently left in stock?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pics today.

When we cut the strut tower with the hole saw, we saw how thick the strut tower actually is.

Once I saw it, I wasn't concerned about structural integrity anymore,, as it looked rather stout.

I also cannot, for the life of me, remember the size of the hole saw, but I'm still working on it.

Hey guys,

So these have been moving alot faster then i planned. Below is our current inventory as of typing this message:

Gen 1 MS3 - 2 sets of the S1
Gen 2 MS3 - 2 Sets of the S3, 1 set of the S1

i am running low on my stock for the BMW's as well so i will place another order in the coming weeks. It looks as if no one really wanted the non camber adjustable S1 version so i probably wont be ordering anymore of those. I will also be order ALOT more sets for the MS6 guys who are interested.

These take 6-8 weeks for assembly and delivery so expect them to come in around mid to late october.

Also, if you did just purchase and install these please post up some picts and reviews so everyone can see.

thanks!

-Wei

EDIT: we have also reached the GB discount with 5 members ordering!!! Everyone who has ordered a set so far will receive a $100 refund and all future orders will be at the $899/$999 price for the S1/S3 respectively

"All future orders"? So if I manage to save up the cash in say 2 months or so, it will be that price?

no

the GB will only be good for what we have in stock currently. once that runs out we may start a new GB when we do the next order from our suppliers.

if we still have stock from this order in 2 months you can certainly still receive the discounted price.
