Default Big MAF - Sure Full3 AEROS

I'm just about ready to get an e-tune; downpipe and internals are in. I've currently got the regular AEROS installed and running the OTS stage 2 map (Stage2+SUR2 93): https://static.cobbtuning.com/cobbtu...093%20v200.ptm

Sure says Full3 needs a tune, so I'm just wondering if I'm OK to go ahead and install the 3" intake/inlet and drive on this tune or the Stage2+SUR2+TIH 93 OTS (https://static.cobbtuning.com/cobbtu...093%20v200.ptm) for however long needed waiting for an e-tune?

"This MAF size WILL require MAF calibration from the AccessPort via a custom tune, otherwise the car will not run."

Obviously I don't want to custom tune myself just so I can install the 3" and drive a bit waiting for someone else to custom tune!

I'm just wondering what order I need to do things in.

Don't want to speak for Lex, but I would
1) Sign up for a tune, and he can get you a base map or
2)scale the maf curve yourself by 20% (1.2) and that will get you in the ballpark until he is able to tune you.

I believe you can go on his website and see if he has a spot open for a tune.

To make the 3" intake work you need to scale the MAF curve at Justin indicated. If you're ready for the tuning process, sign up on my site: Mazda DISI Tuning : Stratified Automotive Controls and complete the Tuning Instructions form including your mods. Don't worry about doing a MAF cal or WOT log now since we will need to redo these for the full 3" intake.

I will then follow up with a map for your 3" intake that this is where we start from.

For those of you with the SURE 3" here's a MAF cal for the intake. It may need tweaks on individual cars but it's a good starting point and will get the car up and running. Just copy and paste it into your MAF A and B tables (gen1, ms6) and MAF A table for gen2.

Code:

You quoted the part where it says the car will not run.

Then you still asked if you can drive on it until a proper tune.

What part of "will not run" is so difficult to understand?

If you notice, the post is edited. After searching some more I found that quote and added it to the post for anyone else's benefit. No need to be a dick.

Regardless, the question remains the same and I appreciate Justin & Lex letting me know what I need to do. This makes things easy.

I half respectfully and half disrespectfully disagree about not needing to be a dick.

You got solid answers from atvfreek and lex cause they are overly nice (and physically attractive) guys.
