| Not Ranked : 0 score has no one heard of a pop off valve? its like a blow off valve but also like what lex is doing but it's a bypass valve that is set to let off at a certain pressure. hks used to make one can't find it on their site now though. lex's seems more versatile and easy to apply to all platforms. |

The idea here is that you notice the problem and do something about it. Although it can act like a boost controller you don't want to use it as such. The turbo would just be overspun for no reason and extended periods of time. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Would this gizmo work on a "pull style" BOV such as the HKS SSQV where boost pressure in the i/c tube hits the back of the BOV piston and effectively helps to keep the piston sealed? I think I know how it will work on the typical OEM style valve, but I'm not sure how you can get the HKS style valve to dump boost pressure without somehow creating vaccum in the "signal" hose from the manifold. |

I actually quit using my actual FS boost cut sol due to the fact it slowed spoolup to much. I now simply rely on the FS controller to power my lights in the dash. Big red light comes on = lift bitch! hahah This would be a great integration option for the guardian! There are actually at least two types of output on FS controllers. One provides a 12v signal at fault and the other [mine] provides a 12v signal UNTIL there is a fault. You would need to have inputs for both types or just use an SPDT relay, which is what I do to trigger my red light when 12v signal is lost. I am sure there are other more elegant solutions to this.
