MAP sensor upgrade now included in the GA

We've just added even more functionality to the Guardian Angel. Now it not only controls the BOV/BPV but it is also your MAP sensor upgrade.

Anyone who is upgrading the turbo upgrades their MAP sensor to 3 bar, 3.5 bar or 4 bar. This ranges in cost from $100 to over $250.

The Guardian Angel internally already contains a 4bar MAP sensor (good for reading up to 44psi of boost if need be). We are now offering the output from this MAP sensor to act as the MAP sensor for the main ECU with a very simple wiring modification. The OEM 2.5 bar MAP sensor will still be used for temperature (Boosted Air Temps). The GA MAP sensor will accurately send the manifold pressure to the OEM ECU.

We have been testing this feature and there have been no issues - this upgrade will perform the same as installing a replacement Bosch MAP sensor.

That means that with a GA you never have to upgrade your MAP sensor again (unless you run more than 44psi of boost). Whether you need a 3bar, 3.5bar, or 4bar this has you covered.

We are now offering a no cost addition to the GA V2 to have this MAP sensor output available.

All the other GA features are still there (Failsafe, BPV/BOV control) which are huge pluses especially on a big turbo build.

Have a look at the details here.

You're making this more and more desirable. Buy this and sell my 3 bar here?.....

You can definitely do this. No need for another map sensor or an adapter harness.

Does this require any unique tuning if the map signal comes from this device if the stock sensor is still installed?

The only tuning is setting the correct MAP sensor scalar and offset as you would with any upgraded MAP sensor.

The scalars and offset for any MazdaSpeed are:

Scalar A: 82.60, Scalar B: 1.00, Offset: -3.48 (kpa)

Sounds good. Appreciate the answer. I'll be picking one up in a few weeks.

We can retrofit it as well for the 4 bar MAP sensor. It is $50 and you have to cover shipping.
