Doug - your set up is what I will do I'd I get the balls and money to go BT. I would do the GTX3071 instead.

3071 = waste of time and money on this car. GTX3076 would be sick, but I don't think I'd want to spool any faster than I can.

Yeah we both have the divided 3076... it spools ridiculously fast. I wouldn't want it to spool any quicker either. If I were to consider another turbo for this set up, it'd be a divided gt35r

I have 16 pound spring in 44mm tial and its still jumping to 22 psi. Socket caps 16mm were to small for my oil slide, I guess my flange was thicker.
Thanks man if it wasnt for this HOwto I would have been screwed on what to do

You're welcome for the how to. My 3076 with the 16psi spring used to hold 20psi by redline as well. My oil slide didn't fit either, but iirc DJ didn't have a gasket at the time to use as a template, so he just eye-balled it. We had to drill mine out to almost 2x the size, but a couple washers on top, and it was all good.

Anytime holmes. Just to be clear, the angle of the slide itself was perfect. The holes for the allen bolts were just off... no biggie

Yeah. The new flanges i tried with crazyp had bolts with them, but i wasn't 100% sure if they were correct ones cause i don't have a garret to test fit on. And he ended up having to "slot" them.


Finding blank flanges without an AN fitting on them is difficult. I hand made the first ones, but that was a ridiculous amount of work for a flange. I really need a source for them.

I'll find some somewhere, or just pre-slot the one like he has.




I'm stoked the down pipes have been fitting as well. The jig seems pretty accurate.... especially considering i used it for my 4" down pipe, and it actually fit, hahahahaha.

stock ko4 is a mazda flange, not sure if the t3 is much bigger. T4 is the much bigger flange

Uncorrected put down 338/318, and now 385/370 @25psi, uncorrected. Baseline Dyno SAE 318/308, and now 369/357 SAE @25psi.



Was running mid-11s, high-10s on last dyno w/ the D010 w/m nozzle. Had to pull fuel 3x, and ran out of time tuning. I'm going back to the D07 @24psi, and maybe a few gallons/tank of E85 to get me over 400whp/wtq

Thanks man! ...and thanks to you . I'm also loving the H&R Sport springs... nice (much needed) drop, handles better, but rides close to stock. I think the springs are 33% stiffer, but not choppy like race springs. I wanted COs down the road, but my buddy game me these new in exchange for some stock shit, so I couldn't resist I'd like to powerdercoat my stock wheels black, charcoal, or gun metal, and put those back on at some point. Stockers look nasty, esp w/ some paint.

Wow so you did this work in visitors parking. . You are the man Doug! If you ever feel like driving an hour north to use my garage you are more than welcome. No lift and small but better than a parking lot. Great work and excellent write up !

Yeah its probably 3 miles away, so close I even get a discount for the noise lol. A friend I went to school with lives even closer to the track and hes got a nice lift set up. Just gotta bring some :phillyb: and I know he wouldn't mind either. I am gonna do my downpipe with it when i get around to ordering it. Great build your car looks amazing!
