I want a good suspension for occasional autoX and drag, but cant see myself putting out more than $1000 for it, seeing that its not my living, just occasional fun... I dont want BC though... possibly Sonic Tuning? def looking for rear sway bar kit to go with it also.

Question.. Does the OEM Struts off of a Pu fit the Wons..

Reason I ask: Thinking of getting coil-overs in the next month or so, and I have a buddy with his struts going out. If they fit I was just going to give him my OEM ones and save him some money.

Thanks.

I believe the struts are directly interchangeable.

The shocks are not.

I'm new to the modding scene, I just want to confirm that the prices on the COBB and hotchkis sway bar is in fact both FSB and RSB.

Seeing that the hotchkis says "kit" that it is in fact F and R.

The rear shock lower attachment point is different on the Pu than on the Won.

I know you need a longer bolt to put Won shocks on a Pu, so you'd probably need some sort of machined spacer or longer shock eye bushing to make a Pu shock work on a Won...

That what I figured. I'm not sure if I can bass on the FSB it's rattling fucking annoyingly as of now, so I have to make sure it's not anything more than the bushings or end links, I may have to replace it if it's more than that.

Thanks for the heads up of not needing to change it though. Much appreciated.

That isn't necessarily true. It all depends on how you like to setup your suspension. Most people skip the front bar because its a huge PITA to install not because its not needed. Again it depends on the type of driving you do and your preference for setup.

I have had both for years. The handling is better with both than just the rear, as I had the rear for a month until I did the front. Well worth it imo. Front just sucks to install.

while im sure there are benefits in steering response

you cant argue the fact that sway bars reduce traction in the area they are installed

rsb lifts the inside wheel decreasing the traction in the rear inducing oversteer

fsb again attempts left that inside wheel...decreasing front traction and inducing understeer

personally in auto cross my biggest issues came from understeer and general lack of front traction through turns

heavy rsb and disconnecting my fsb during runs solved this

im not saying that this is the end all be all setup and of course you need to decide what is best for what kind events you run, but my personal opinion is to run no or a lighter fsb....im actually looking to source a regular 3 fsb to run always

For AutoX i'm sure a MZ3 or no bar is the hot ticket. For a track like Big Willow or Buttonwillow no front bar is the quick way to sliding backwards off track.

A large front bar can also reduce camber loss under roll which increases traction, all I'm getting at is a larger front bar is a preference depending on your preferred style and setup. In a heavy FWD camber limited Macpherson strut car a larger FSB can actually increase lateral front grip.

Let me add that the bar you choose plays a big role as well, not all are created equal. The OEM MS3 FSB size is 26mm solid IIRC. I have ran the 28.5mm solid Racing Beat FSB and currently run the 27mm solid Whiteline FSB. The Racing Beat was a bit to stiff and the Whiteline on the soft setting is a perfect match with the Tripoint rear bar on full stiff.

I couldn't find anything in this thread that was related to this..

Does anyone know if the KW V3 front c/o has an adjustment for the camber?

None of the KW setups for the MS3 include any type of camber adjustment, but they can be used with Corksport's camber plates.

I was leaning toward KW but now that I see the BCs include this camber plate, I'm leaning that way.
Does anyone have those on their MS3?
If so, did it require modifying the strut tower itself?

KW >>>>>>> BC

All day, every day.

The option of included camber plates isn't worth choosing BC over KW.

The option of included camber plates isn't worth choosing BC over KW.
I found KW V1 for under $1k online and after adding the Corksport camber plates still came close to the BC price. As @Nliiitend1 said dont waste your time with BC.
