I got my Ultimate Racing exhaust installed yesterday on my Cobb DP. Sounds mean, definitely doesn't nothing like a 4 cylinder

Ok here's the video. As you all know, YouTube doesn't do any justice to the deep tone of the CBE, but it gives you an idea. I didn't have time to do a drive by and inside car recording today, but I will be uploading those soon.

Sounds sweet. I wanted the UR exhaust but picked up the magnaflow from that hot exhaust website because it was basically half the price. The mag was too quiet but when i got the UR test pipe it finally opened up and sounded so much better....still want the UR cat back.

Believe it or not...I got the UR for 400...installed.

I also wanted the Magnaflow but then I saw a thread that it had a section that the pipe went down to 2.5 inches

Does the downpipe have a high flow cat or is it catless?

Cobb only makes one type of downpipe, it's catted. Even with that though, it's loud as hell. And doesn't smell like crap

You know your dp goes to 2.5 inches in the same spot the magnaflow did right.

Well if I could choose a UR CBE vs a Magnaflow CBE for the same price I'd choose the UR. The tapering down to 2.5in wasn't my only decision maker. Didn't clarify that in the post you quoted.

Medallion Touring is quiet as hell. It sounds decent under load though.

I'd love to see the Medallion Concept G Blue come to the MS3 though

Ah crap, I didn't know there was a difference! I thought Concept G was just their term for "testing" lol. Like "Exhibit A" or something lol.

I know nothing about Tanabe. So when I found a vid of an '11 STI Concept G and a Medalion Touring, I was confused what the difference was. They both sounded extremely similar on YouTube. Now I know lol. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Yeah... The Concept G Blue series is their "turbo" exhausts (I think it's basically just catless variants of the Concept G), but the Concept G Blue for older STIs sounds sick. The ones for Evos sound nice too

The problem with videos is you can never really tell. the magnaflow exhaust is louder than stock, and the tanabe appears to be somewhat similar. One big difference I see is the tanabe doesnt neck down AND the tanabe muffler looks quite a bit smaller than magnaflow. It could just be crappy video quality.

If you really want a deep, kinda loud exhaust go with UR. You'll never look back. Sounds nothing like stock

Agreed. Did just the UR CBE a few weeks ago, and it's awesome sound. Idle is a little bit obnoxious (your house + neighbors will know you're going somewhere...), but the sound is good, at highway cruising it's not too much louder than stock which is a plus, and at WOT it sounds beastly.

Need more of the suction mount to rear bumper videos - that was badass.

Yea the only thing that bothers me is doing a cold start up. Well, not me but my neighbors. It gets REALLY loud for the first 15 seconds or so. But other than that it's great. Like you said highway cruising is not too loud and that's a plus.

I picked mine up for $400. I wasn't planning on doing it so early but I couldn't pass that deal
