Where did you get your engine from and what was the cost? I am looking to do something similar in the next year or so. Your build is looking great. Any new process?

Finding a shop to pass me will be my last resort.

The only idea I've come up with was this:

HOW TO: Remove MIL's caused by deleting the VTCS system

After installing this, we should only have 2 not readys, and pass.

I just realized that I started this thread a year ago. Long project is long.

Anyway, the machine shop tore the motor down 2 weeks ago. The #4 bearing wasn't spun but it was almost there. Other than that, everything looked good. They are going to bore the cylinders .020 over and machine the crank .010".

I just ordered the last few parts from @EdgeAutosport.com; and should be swapping out my stock bore pistons (i'm an idiot) for .020 overbore in a few days.

More updates once I get all the parts to the machine shop and put together.

Builds coming along smoothly it seems despite the timeline gap lol, but how long until machine shop is ready to assemble the longblock and hand it back over?

I'm not sure. I dropped off everything at the machine shop yesterday and they are closed until Monday. They had a lot of engines around mine so it just depends where I fall in line.

The only thing I need is a meth tank and I'm looking at a few right now. Over the next few weekends, I'll be getting the car ready for the swap.

I've been updating the local forum. Bent a rod 2 weeks ago so my car is down again.

BUT, I got the new engine back from the machine shop on Friday, so it's time to start putting it together this weekend.
