(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score This review might be a little long so for all my TLDR people.... EDIT: if you want some pics of the mount head on over to this thread. DM PMM interest list Mount is great Easy install less vibes and noise transfer then my cs pmm my engine is still locked into place while pushing 28psi on my BWs360 My mount setup prior to install: Cp-e Stage II RMM CS PMM Stock TMM w/ CS insert Ok now for the actual review. i'll say up front i had no problem with my cs mount it looks like a tank, but i was always sour at how much of a bitch it was to install. So on to the DM PMM.....this thing is nice, and unlike anything else i've seen on the market. The install was easy and straight forward. To install: I assembled the two halves outside of the car and made them tight. Because no fucks given about tq specs. Put the mount in, loosely start the frame bolts, and then tightened the top flange to the motor Next step was to tighten the 19mm bolt that goes through the top bushing. After that you tighten the frame rail bolts. Now the ground wire can be done one of 2 ways. My way or the DM way. DM tells you to route the ground wire through the body of the mount and hook it up that way. I just sandwiched it between the bottom of the mount and the frame. Yes it did pinch the ground wire, but it still works just fine. Now onto the initial start up/drive. First thing i noticed was the interior was quieter. 2 of my interior pieces that did rattle around 1800rpm during cold startup no longer rattled. Also my seat vibes were WAY down on all around and i didn't have many to begin with. So then i took it out and drove it. Same thing less vibes all around with less engine noise transfer. THE ONLY TIME the vibes were equal with my cs pmm were with the ac on at idle. I run a 1k idle with my htp 4" intake so with the a/c on i do get some vibes but it's nothing crazy. I've been in a Full trilogy JBR car w/ bsd and that shit is CRAZY. So now that the initial drive is done it's time for the real test some wot pulls. My car is no slouch puts down 470-480 @ 28psi on my FJ Turbo kit, and this mount had no problem with it. Did multiple gear pulls and it held great just like my CS PMM. no wheel hop with it at all. Not only is the mount great, but so are the people that make it. Farhan really sold this mount for me. I told him my end power goals, and his response was "You can't make enough power to break this mount." So yea...this mount is fantastic. I can't wait for the tmm to come out.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Nice... If your familiar with the jbr 70, how would you say this compares to it? I recently added in my jbr70 PMM (from stock) to compliment the 80 RMM, and to say the least.. I'm not enthused about the vibes that I'm getting. (RMM in over a year, PMM has about 400 miles now, TMM stock). It sort of feels like I'm driving in a 4x4 with nobby tires. I'm undecided if ima keep it on.. Time will tell. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I was actually interested in the CP-e mount. But I am diggin' the price of this mount. My only concern regarding this one is: It looks like when the bushing wears out, the metal surrounding the bushing itself might start to contact the top plate that bolts to the engine. I know it would take a loooooong time before that ever happened, but, can anyone post a downward pick of this mount installed and/or the actual measurement of the spacing between the two parts, front and back? Thanks ![]()

| Not Ranked : 0 score So I installed this sexy mount a couple weeks ago and I have to say, I think I am in love. I feel I have given this mount a good run and it is time for me to review it for you all. Let’s start with my previously existing setup. I have a Genone with all the typical mods with Meth injection pushing about 320HP. I previously had the JBR 88 duro RMM, JBR 80 duro PMM and the TRZ Transmission Mount. So now we have the installation, not that it is a complicated affair to begin with =P 1. Jack up the car and put it on two level jack stands, put a jack with a piece of wood on it under the oil pan and support the engine. 2. Remove the Coolant and Power steering reservoirs and pull them out of the way. 3. Remove the 2x 17mm bolts from the chassis and remove the 2x 17mm nuts from the engine. 4. Remove the ground strap from the mount and from the chassis (Keep this part for later) 5. Remove the old PMM and throw it out the garage door. 6. Place the new PMM on the studs and start the nuts at least 4 full rotations. 7. Flatten both ends of the ground strap. Attach one end to the chassis ground that is under the power steering reservoir and the other end to the mounting point on the motor mount using the old bolt from the other motor mount. Then the muscle part comes… 8. In a perfect world you would just install the bolts but since the engine most likely shifted a little when you unbolted the old mount, you will need to tug the engine a bit and line up the bolt holes on the mount with the holes on the chassis. A long pole behind the engine helps or a muscle bound friend will do. 9. Once you have the bolts started, torque down the nuts on the engine to 70 lbs/ft and the bolts on the Chassis to 80lbs/ft. (At least that’s what I do for every mount I have installed and we have never had any issues) 10. Then reinstall the coolant and Power steering reservoirs and let the car down. Overall, install is cake and exactly the same as every other passenger motor mount I have installed. Now for the results: I will be comparing to my previous setup not a stock configuration. (Vs the JBR 80 duro PMM) Overall there are a lot of similarities as far as performance improvement, but there are a couple noticeable differences. - The first difference being the in cabin NVH is slightly reduced with this new mount. - The second difference which is by far the best improvement I have felt is the fact that it is easier to shift at WOT (Fuck @Tokay444). This is a problem that I didn’t notice until I installed this mount. Unexpected improvement huh? That’s what I said. The best I can figure is, with the whole bushing carrying the load instead of just the top (as on the JBR), the mount is able to move in a more natural way allowing the easier shifting. - The mount is also very solid and the engine doesn’t move any more than it did with the JBR mount. I replaced my VVT last weekend so I had the opportunity to remove and inspect the mount on the bench. After a couple weeks of beating on the mount the bushing still looks like new and all of the bolts were still nice and tight on the mount. I know more time will be needed to truly test longevity but I think this is a great sign. Overall I absolutely love this mount. If it puts it in perspective, I sold my JBR mount the day after I installed this mount, because I was so impressed. The other obviously awesome thing about this mount is the completely unique design that puts the bushing parallel to the engines rotation allowing the mount to more naturally absorb the movement and vibration. I think, once again, Matt and crew have knocked it out of the park. Be sure to head over to their website. The mount will be available January 15th. | Not Ranked : 0 score Went to go measure but realized something weird. It seems like the bushing is rubbing against the top plate, is this normal? will this eventually wear out the bushing? It's been about 400 miles.

I don't think there's anything to worry about there. Looks it just the a slight engine shift. I bet if you go drive it, it will be in a different position.

In any case, yes, that's normal. You'll probably notice in a week or two that the whole face of the bushing flange is against the engine mount piece. It's minimal, but there is some transverse load on the engine. Not to worry, that's what the flange is for. Eventually, it can wear, as can the bushing in general. However, we've minimized the load across the flange to prolong life (especially compared to some other designs) and put the load where the load should go. I talk to the design here Happy question/answer day!

| Not Ranked : 0 score That's why. I'm running JBR trilogy (70 duro, chromoly rear) with a BSD and it's like this: To be fair, I'm pretty sure it's just the PMM that's causing most of the vibes. Didn't change at all with the chromoly rear.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't know about others, but in my car with stock idle I can see the hood flex with vibrations over a quarter inch. There may be other factors, though.
