Guess I'll go first. I've had the product on my car for about 2k miles at this point and won't be looking back. Fit and finish is excellent, with a substantial feel to it.

I previously ran the trilogy from JBR. After getting in @JgamB;'s car at ENM, I had to have this mount. Installed it the day I got back I was so excited about it. Before the swap, my car was stupid loud. I could solo road trip in it but couldn't do even a 2 hour drive with friends in the car because of the noise. Listening to music while cruising on the highway meant the radio volume was at 20-22 depending on speed.

After installing this mount, I can cruise with the volume on 17 or so. Gone are the deceleration vibrations that felt like they were going to rattle the car into pieces. Yes, the car is still loud, but that's due to the PMM and TMM swap at this point.

The mount made such a profound difference in drivability that I've decided to at least put the stock PMM in soon. My roommate immediately noticed that the car was quieter after install, and I even managed a 3.5 hour drive with my dad in the car without him complaining.

Install was straightforward even without install instructions. I have no doubt that this mount will stand up to any and all abuse thrown at it. I've even done some drag racing and had no real issues getting into gears when I'm FFS.

TL;DR: this mount is tits and should be everyone's first mod.

Oh yeah, make me a PMM and TMM please! KTHX.

Installation took me around 30 minutes. I had the JBR trilogy in 80 duro prior to the new DM mount. (older version before the moly dogbone).

* Vibrations have been reduced all around.
* Deceleration vibrations are completely gone.

Did I mention deceleration vibs are completely gone? Because they are and that alone is worth it. Nice job guys.

Stock, TRZ dogbone, DM sexiness.

Vibes are WAY down, in car noise is down as well. As said above there are no deceleration vibes (TRZ was BAD).

I do have a new clunk/rattle on startup, I got the car back in the air to check the torque on everything. I can move the hex bolt with a rubber mallet so I wonder if that's the culprit. I'll see if it settles and remove/reinstall if not.

Edit: Attachment fixed.

Hmm, @YoursTruly; had a similar issue I believe. It looked like either the supplied bolt was slightly smaller than needed or the hole in his transmission bracket was larger than normal.

@mdl3v8, @nindoja

I think the problem I am having is that the hole in the bracket on my transmission is too large. Before anyone asks, the bushing is still in it and so is the metal sleeve. Furthermore, the sleeve has no obvious tool marks, so I don't think the previous owner drilled it out.

I can rock my car forward and back and watch the trans mount slide around in the RMM. This caused massive clunking and insane vibrations. I hope I don't need to buy a new bracket.

I will try to have pics up soon of the size difference. Also, I tried using shim stock to fix it, but it only cut down on the clunking.

Edit: I just checked, a new bracket is 30 bucks. I might buy one just to check it out.

@Farhan@DM dropped off mine yesterday and watched my swap it in for my Cobb. I will have a preliminary review up tomorrow. After 100 miles or so today, I like it. More comparison and thoughts about this rmm itself to come tomorrow after some more mileage.

I just got mine installed this morning. Driven 30-40 miles I'll have some more input with a full review in the next few days. Feels solid but im getting an occasional clunk which is new.

Got mine installed in a record time of 13min. (Could of been less if I hadn't dropped a few bolts, and didn't have to switch the bolt around after putting everything back on)

I am switching from the JBR 88a Dogbone. All other mounts are stock.
So far I am liking it, and it feels like an entirely different car.

Decel Vibes gone, low rpm vibes gone, cruising vibes gone (had to keep looking at my speedo cause I couldn't feel it like I used to and guesstimate my speed) So it is much quieter when cruising.

I do notice more clutch chatter, engine noise, and vibes when stopped. (I have an ACT 6puck) Also a lot louder vibes for about a second when first starting to move.

Other then that, I am glad I have made the change! It's an awesome beefy piece, and would recommend it to friends and others.

Also, my wife comes back in another week, curious if she will notice the difference, I suppose I could update then, and post a wife's perspective lol.

Edit: The bolt from the RMM to the Transmission bracket, I did about 44 ft-lbs. All others 70 ft-lbs

Edit: After some more driving around today, I am noticing some clunking, usually if you push the accelerator then just quickly let off, it will clunk.

@nindoja; @YoursTruly;

I installed my mount yesterday after reading your post about the bolt being a little small for the transmission bracket. I am coming from an OE mount, and so I played with the stock hardwares a little. For as far as I can tell, the DM mount is spec very close to OE. The stock bolt is also slightly smaller in diameter than the hole in the transmission bracket.

After assembling the motor mount (both DM and OE) to the transmission bracket off the car, both mounts wiggled a little in the transmission bracket. However, after installing this assembly in the car and torquing everything to spec, everything is solid.

I will be test driving the car a little later today and will report back with initial impression.

Cheers!

Interesting that they are both slightly smaller. What torque specs did you use on the bolts? Same question goes to you @YoursTruly;

I guess I will be waiting until this bolt issue gets resolved. I love this design. It is how the factory mount should be made.

I used 45 lbs for the supplied shoulder bolt and 70lbs for the OEM bolts

Edit: I don't know about you guys but it was pain in the ass to torque the shoulder bolt at least for me

So I made a small video of how it feels first small test run down the street from my house. Now I'm coming from the e-focus mount.

Now I did notice when I got the mount that it did have a little play with the bushing, but still went ahead and installed, I will take another video with an update a week from now to see how the car is feeling and my final review on the mount. I did 70lbs on the oem bolts and 45lbs on supplied bolt.

Same here with the torque spec, 70lb-ft with the OE bolt and guntentite with the shoulder bolt. I screwed up facing the nut towards the transmission and wasn't able to get my torque wrench/socket in the tight space.

Initial impression is positive. I came from OE mount with inserts. Upon starting up, I immediately notice more vibration transmitted throughout the cabin and through the steering wheel, the brakes, and the seats. This is strictly limited to idling. (Vibe goes away when the AC is on)

Once I started driving, I noticed more mechanical connection to the drive train. I actually feel my clutch now. While driving around town, I definitely feel more vibrations, especially in higher gears/lower rpm situations.

I am attributing a lot of these vibes to new mount, not yet broken in.

I will report back after a week and some runs on the Mulholland.

Cheers!

Just installed mine. Came from being fully mounted on JBR 88duro. I get the usual vibes on decel, A/C on and take off. Been mounted for about 2 years.

I torqued OEM bolts to 70 ft/lbs and torqued the supplied bolt pretty tight. The RMM took some persuasion to slide over the tranny bracket so there wasn't any play between parts. I didn't bother checking the bolt through the bracket though. Test drive coming up in about 2 hours.

Definitely clunks. I goosed it and let off with no clunk. I'm having a hard time replicating it but it does it randomly when the motor shifts/moves on accel/decel or when you're not smooth with the shifts.

Vibes on take off are like a new RMM but less than the 88duro. Vibes are reduced on start up, decel, A/C on, idle and take off.

I like the improvement but that clunk takes away from it being perfect. I don't regret the purchase but I would like to see the clunk eliminated.

It will be. Thanks for all the feedback guys, both good and bad.

Putting a regular hex bolt on that setup will compress the flanges on the bushing. This may eliminate your clunk, but this will reduce the life of the bushing. This is not a solution I'm comfortable with.

This is being actively worked, and I'll keep you guys updated on what is causing the problem, and what the recommended solution is. Everyone with the issue will be provided whatever is needed to address the issue. Just asking for a little patience, please.

Stock bolt and shoulder bolt are both 12mm.

For anyone with a clunk, please list what RMM you're coming from if you could.

The washer I used doesn't compress the bushing. It is pressed/tightened against the sleeve that the bolt goes through.

I am coming from a jbr 80. I didn't clunk because the torque spec for the main bolt was 125 ft lbs. This likely compressed the aluminum around the trans bracket and held it in place.

I like my DM mount and I look forward to hearing from you about a solution to the clunk. Sorry for not posting pics and measurements of my trans bracket yet. This weekend was crazy.

So mine still clunks with the added lock washer. Clunks on startup, Decel (sounds like two clunks) felt and heard most between 1500-3000 when letting off gas, but more idle vibes than before. I came from JBR 88 RMM, and CPE PMM. I'll get under it tomorrow and re-torque everything to per this thread and see if it fixes anything.

Installed mine today, I get one big clunk on startup and then it's fine while driving.

I'm coming from the TRZ dogbone and I have JBR 70d sides. Vibes are wayyy less even with AC on, decel vibes are minimal and I can finally use my rear view mirror again.

It's a sweet mount, just gotta figure out this clunk on startup.

Mine was clunking real bad. Even when driving. I couldn't tighten the hex bolt down all the way. Felt like the bolt bottomed out. I took the bolt off and sure enough the washer was being tightened into the shoulder portion.
Does anyone know if the washers are side specific? Anyway I put a washer on with a bigger hole and no more clunkity clunk. Still have some vibs on acceleration low in rpm's. Maybe the vibs will go away when the bushings break in.

Do you remember the size of the new washer? I had the same thing, the lock nut just spun and I couldn't torque it to anywhere near 40 Ft-lbs.

As soon as the clunk goes away, this could possibly be the perfect RMM. I'm coming off a JBR 70 and the biggest test for me was the a/c vibes... GONE! I've only put a few miles on it so far, but cruising NVH has also gone way down.

I went out and did the same. The bolt used to spin freely with supplied washer. Now it takes some effort to spin the bolt after replacing the supplied washer.

Pic 1 shows where supplied washer contacted bolt shoulder, Pic 2 is the new washer over supplied washer to show difference in size, Pic 3 shows mount with new washer and lock washer

Test drive soon.

My bolt didn't seem like it would tighten fully. I tightened it as hard as I could but it seemed to be able to spin with enough force.

What would happen if we used a hex head grade 8 bolt with flat washer, lock washer and nut instead of the shoulder bolt assembly ?

I wonder in a hex bolt work better, as well, with a long thread and one that sit flush inside the bushing and not having play. Will play around some bolts and see

Let us know what you come up with, I don't see myself having the time to do anything until next weekend so I'll see how the car reacts throughout the week

I don't have the size. I had a bunch of washers I used. I tried using a dremel but it was taking too long. I know it's slightly bigger that 3/8. The washer I used was a little smaller but had a bigger hole. I'm gonna try to get to the hardware store tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have a proper size.

Another thing I noted, was some play between the mount and the frame. Not sure if that's the source of the clunk.

@latinkraze. That looks like the same washer I used. I have the same exact pics.

I came from an oem mount.

I don't know where this washer came from either. It's in one of drawers with washers left over from other mods, lol

I came from an OEM RMM and I can't complain about the NVH what so ever, i rode in one of the local nator guys car with a JBR 88 and I can feel the huge improvement with the DM mount. My only complaint is the clunk but better than hitting the firewall with the OEM one

I had to use the washer from my JBR 88 to get the clunk to go away. I put a couple hundred miles on it today and I'm happy with it. I got increased vibes from the mount which seems to go against what everyone is saying. I have JBR sides and going from the 88 to this mount added vibes. With that being said and aside from having to basically install twice, I love it.

So, test drove again after swapping washers. Vibes reduced even further and the clunk is gone. I am extremely happy with this mount. I'll report back in a few days with further feedback.

This was with the lock washer setup? I did the same but haven't had a chance to test drive so I can't confirm if I have the clunking
