I bought it used, so I don't know exactly. Somewhere between 5000 and 10000 miles. I put a few hundred miles on it myself since I got it.

I drive my JBR 88 dogbone right now with OEM TMM + OEM PMM ... and my JBR doesn't create lot of vibes ... I like the setup but if I can have the same stifness + a lower NVH and rattle I will love it even more ...

If some user of JBR Dogbone switch to DM RMM can explain there point about that

2nd for rolling stops is the worst. It makes my whole dash rattle like crazy for those couple of hundred rpms.
I have about 350 miles on the RMM. It was torqued with a torque wrench.
Should I try to re-torque the bolts?

May need more time to simmer, especially if you installed in the cold

I could be worth checking at least. Doesn't take too long to get a wrench on them.

Thanks, this one was super helpful! I have no idea how I missed this thread in all my hours of RMM research. Its a bummer to because I think this thread contains the most honest responses about added NVH to various diff. mounts. A lot of comments that the CPE feels better NVH wise over the DM, which I'm more geared to over performance as I don't plan any major power gains for a few years.

Now to just find someone to break-in my CPE for me .

You need more miles to break it in. It took over 1000 miles for the vibes to settle down when I had my DM RMM. You can also drive with the windows down to help lessen the NVH while breaking in.

You do need some more miles on the mount, but honestly, this is pretty normal. I have adapted the habit of not lugging the engine as much. These engines hate being lugged anyway.

I just got my built motor installed (BSD included) fully mounted by a competitor, and something needs to be done. I will slowly begin the process of switching over to these mounts. The reviews and this company as a whole are just what this platform needed.

I don't have a BSD, but I've had all 3 Damond mounts on my car for about 7000 miles now and I still can't get over how smooth and quiet they are overall. NVH just isn't any worse than OEM most of the time.

I'm glad to hear the mount will simmer down with time. I installed it this weekend and my car feels like a diesel truck. I thought I had messed up the install somehow. Thanks for the info.

I think everyone has a different tolerance level to NVH. My tolerence is clearly very low.
These are my thoughts after running a few different RMM -

Damond RMM - Loud and many vibrations even once broken in and re-torqued. I love the design of this mount but the vibes were too much for me. Ran this mount for 7,500km.

CPE Stage 2 - Louder than stock, though really nice sound in the cabin like a deep exhaust. A few vibrations here and there even once broken in. Was only annoying just around 3500rpm, I found I was changing gear early to avoid this vibe. Used to vibrate at idle with aircon on, raised idle to avoid that. Ran this mount for 15,000km

Focus E-mount - Quiet, no vibes at all. Zero break-in period. Feels like stock as far as I can recall. I just fitted this mount a week ago and I'm loving how refined the car feels. This is my pick for a daily driver.

The unwritten subtext, now written.

Bushings will likely never need replacing, and if they do they can be replaced cost-effectively yourself after ordering them from DM, or from Energy Suspension if DM goes away.

Bushing might need replacing; at least it's covered under lifetime warranty if you bought it new, though your car might be down for a while if you don't have a backup solution.

Focus E-mount - Quiet, no vibes at all. Zero break-in period. Feels like stock as far as I can recall. I just fitted this mount a week ago and I'm loving how refined the car feels. This is my pick for a daily driver.
This mount will soften quickly and stop providing much torque resistance, but at least it's better than stock. Depending on power level you may need to replace it yearly or every few years, just like every mount with an incorrectly-loaded rubber bushing.

Spectrix, your tolerance IS very low. I'd have never described the Damond as "Loud and many vibrations". As for the CP-E, I think you have another problem to have a 3500rpm vibe, because no one else has ever described this and I sure don't have it. How's your PMM? Anyway I'd describe the CP-E s2 as very stock-like, and the Damond RMM only a small touch above it. I think either of these mounts is a good DD choice and a better choice than the E-Focus mount. I considered backing off to the E mount - or running it in the winter and something else in the summer - but found no reason to go softer then the cpe s2.

Has anyone here attempted the Damond TMM with stock PMM and E focus mounts or inserts? Wondering if this setup would make shifting feel great without some of the steering wheel and dash vibes people complain of.
