Default First Gen EFR Intake

For those do-it-yourselfers, this is the parts list I used to make the intake for my EFR 6758:

Parts from Silicone Intakes:
1x 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch 90 degree reducer
1x 3.5 inch by 1 foot long 45 degree mandrel bend pipe (to be trimmed)
1x 3.5 inch silicone coupler
Assorted t-bolt clamps

Parts from Treadstone Performance:
1x 3.5 inch MAF housing; specifically the one labeled as follows:

DENSO MAF, Mass Air Meter Pipe, Subaru, Scion, Mazda, Toyota, Lexus

DENSO MAF, Mass Air Meter Adapter Flange, Subaru, Scion, Mazda Speed 6, Toyota, Lexus.
For best fitment, trim at least 2 inches off of each side of the 45 degree mandrel bend pipe; I went with 3 inches removed off the side that the MAF housing connects to.

Unfortunately, I don't have a TIG setup yet so I took everything to my local race car shop and had the support bracket and additional connections welded on, and the trimmed edges re-bead rolled.

Note that to fit the huge air filter I had to shave the inner lip out of the filter itself with a home made fillet knife.

The result is as follows (large images ahead, click link below image for big):

I'll edit this post tomorrow with the outer diameter measurements of the EBCS vent tube and valve cover breather tube (which was re-used from a piece of discarded AC line).

With the JBR air filter on there, I couldn't hear anything but the turbo whoosh. Now I can hear everything, including the EFR diverter valve.

What was your reasoning for running such a large filter? Just to make sure you're not constricting the intake side at all? Just curious. That is awesome though.

so the reducer coupling was long enough so that you went from the reducer to the 45 and it cleared all the hoses and engine? also how much was the maf housing? i have found them on ebay w/ straightener for $95 shipped.

Yes, it's a perfect fit. The price for the housing can be found on Treadstone; I don't recall the exact price.
