Default 308/344 e40 - Can You Take a Look At Datalog?

Can someone take a look at my datalog and tell me how it looks? Maybe some tips on getting hp to stay more linear on the graph at 4700 - 5500 roughly? This is an e40 map. 2007 MS3. 6.775 gal 91 to 5.225 gal e85 mix. 308/344 VD numbers CF 1.01 smooth 2. Seems tough to limit boost around 3k with stock turbo? Mods are COBB TIP, SRI, Autotech internals, CPE Injector Seals, Intake/TB TIG, EGR delete, TB coolant bypass, and a Test Pipe. If someone can take a look and give me some tips, I would really appreciate it!

I think it looks pretty good, and you limit torque low also. If you want more control, you can try a hybrid tune. I've had luck with that and you can limit torque on a per gear basis as well - get more usable traction in the first several gears.

Not sure what feedback you are looking for. Hp looks like to be expected out of the K04. You can let the WGDC go up in that rpm range and it might help a little. I only say this because it looks like you are running Meth? Only other comment, you might want to touch up your MAF cal. Your STFTs are a little high before you get on it

Tip 1: Trim the top and bottom of your log to remove useless lines of non-WOT.
Tip 2: You can reduce your bottom end load targets and set your throttle table to something below 70% to slow that K04 down a little.

I didn't see anything in your logs to cause the sudden flattening out of the curve. Possibly ran into some headwind or slight incline in the road?

@09Speed3Z;

Posted thread in wrong section; recommend moving to MazdaSpeed 3/6 - ECU Computer Tuning - Mazdaspeed Forums (Genwon ECU tuning)

If you're having issues with ethanol fueling (not tuning), then this would be the place to post; otherwise, thread should be moved so it gets more (appropriate/tuner) eyes on it.

Still reading up on hybrid tuning. Just fairly new to self tuning and wanted someone to take a look. Not running meth on this one.

Log trimmed... Road is flat. I do all my wot runs in same spot. This map is the only one with that dip. Might try running a tab more boost at top and see what happens.

Not sure if tune issue, or e85 tuning issue, but wanted some input on the dip in curve. 91 and e25 maps don't do that. Have it moved if you feel it is needed...

You can see that dip in power/torque in the log as well... looks like the tune hesitates a bit in WGDC/boost and the MAF g/s oscillates a bit in the 4700-5800rpm range which causes that dip.

Let it boost a bit more freely up top and see how it goes. You should also check your tune and see if you hit any limit such as load, IDC, or other limits.
What BPV are you using and when did you service it last time?

Double checked everything that might be limiting torque. Only thing I found was the "Load Target Comp - High RPM (BETA)" is set to 0.20. Description says "Tuning Tips - Lowering the value to 0 will remove this load compensation from the load targeting system and prevent unwanted results above 5000rpm" Not sure if I leave at 0.20, or zero it out, or if it even matters on a boost tune?

Stock BPV.

That's what I had planned, less taper of boost at top end.

I will modify map a bit, and post results...

Shouldn't matter on boost tune but you can change it anyways. Stock K04 will run on of steam on it's own so just raise the WGDC up top.
Have you tried reducing the timing around that dip in the vdyno graph?

Going to try boost adjustment first, then I will lower timing in that area and see if it helps.

Appreciate the input!

If you don't get KR then don't touch the timing.
However, if your load limit is set at 2.0, since the oscillations begin right after the load drops below two I think there may be some kind of compensation stuff that does that, so I'd raise the load limit to 2.1 or 2.2.
Once you figure that out you can lower the load cap again and optimize the load comp tables in case they are the culprit for that dip.

All loads are set above actual load. Yeah, 0 kr. Going to boost more up top and see what it does. This k04 seems to like boost at high rpm. Not much bat increase like other speeds.

Does anyone think it might just be the smoothing factor of 2?

I usually get ripple in my Vdynos, I just chalked it up to suspension travel, cross winds, etc

Still dips with smoothing 3. It consistently dips in all logs. Drove down road with gps, really level road. Going to try boosting a bit more up top first and report back.

No... the dip can be seen in the log as well.. you can see it in load and MAF g/s.

The thing is that the WGDC kind of keeps raising but the MAF g/s, boost and obviously load (because of maf g/s) oscillate, that's why I asked about the BPV but it may very well be some comp table trying to stay around some target or below some limit while having some rough values in there.
