In need of BT Base Map Tune

Hello tuners, i know theres alot of tuners here that know their stuff. I will be installing a gt2871r on my gen1 speed3. Im looking for a tuner that can get me just a base map to make my car drivable after the install. Please pm me if possible. Thank You

wait if you are already freektuned why don't you just email Justin about it. prob going to need to pay him again because completely new setup but then you will have etune to maximize the turbo

I have a friend that said he knew how to tune but asked if I can just get a base map from one of the tuners here then him do the rest...I asked justin but I dnt know if it made him upset that I just asked for a base map...I was just asking here cuz I have another buddy that got a base map from a tuner on here for free...but he cant remember the persons name...didnt mean any disrespect by asking for a base map...just trying to save some cash thats all.....thanks for the link btw

If your friend needs a base map tune to get him started, then he obviosuly doesn't know what he's doing at all

I would just save yourself the hassle and let one of the great e-tuners here to tune you. A couple hundred dollars in a tune is far less than a new engine.

Asking someone for a good base tune only to take it to somewhere else is a big nono. Your buddy can do all the learning needed for that base map on his own if he's even able to tune. Personally I would stay away from a tuner that can't do a tune from start to finish. You spent lots of money on hard parts - why skimp on the most important piece that ties it together - the tune.

Big turbo's need a lot of work to get the most out of it, and to have a car you're going to just absolutely love driving i suggest tuning it yourself. i first went big turbo a little over a year ago on the stock motor and would literally datalog every day and change the tune sslllooowwwllllyyyyy, almost painfully slow, until i got a feel for what the car was doing and how it was reacting to changes.

Stock turbo cars are easy to tune, and can be tuned in an afternoon, but a big turbo is a whole different animal, from how you want it to spool, where you want the power to come in, how you want the drivability to be, and for that reason its best to be able to change those things yourself so you can set the car up how you want to drive it.

Hell, i've been on this setup since late march and im still playing with it and tweaking with it a few times a week to get stuff how i want it ... imagine if i had to meet up with someone else to do everything i wanted. Now, thats not to say the tuners here arent amazing, i consult with ATVfreek, Rfinkle, Dj and the lot, at least once or twice a month on stuff i am trying or need clarification for, but i like to play around and experiment with things. If you just want a set it and forget it type tune, maybe thats whats best for you in the end then.

My story is pretty much the same. I started tuning right before I went BT. Take the time to understand it and go slowly. It might take 100 revisions. But you'll have the satisfaction you did it yourself.

All you really need to do for tuning is BT now is wastegate tuning. If you went to bigger intake do the math and scale your maf. Just start conservative on AFR's, timing, WGDC's.

You have to understand what you're doing to make the changes. That requires a lot of reading on here.

Nervous as hell haha, but like 86 said, you can just run low boost ( basically just spring pressure) until you get a feel for how the car is reacting, learn to understand your datalogs and go up from there.

OP you definitely need to get tuned by someone legit here. If your friend can't make you a base map, then you will likely ZZB under his wing. Either hit Justin up for a BT tune, or learn how to do it yourself as @Voltwings; suggested.
