Default Question About My AP Tune

I recently bought an accessport to monitor my car after having some fuel cut out issues caused by my catless downpipe. Didn't know that I needed upgraded fuel pump internals at the time, the car ran fine for 3 months or so and then it started losing fuel pressure. So I now have autotech internals installed.. I'm running the Stage 1 + DP map.. Stock airbox, hpfp internals, catless downpipe. I know that Cobb suggests their own product in the maps list description (cobb downpipe with 1 cat).. Will I run into any issues running this tune with my catless downpipe? My car is hardly modified. I just ordered some denso itv22 plugs as well since it looks like that's a requirement with the AP... Any info? I'm not all too knowledgeable with all of this.

It'll be best to find a tuner you like and get a tune from them. Even if it's just an OTS tune. I just got a Freektune OTS+ and it made a HUGE difference in how the car acts vs the Cobb OTS. It's only $75 which is a lot cheaper than an engine if ething goes wrong.

You need to use the correct map for your mods. When does Cobb suggest using a Stage 1 map? I thought those were for people with no HPFP upgrade?

Yeah, that's the wrong map. OP you need to run the stage 2 map since you have upgraded HPFP internals and downpipe.

It's running a stage 1 + dp map.. It requires hpfp internals, which I have. As well as the stock intake. The only thing I was curious about was the dp, cause mines a catless one. It seems like the Cobb ones are catted. I wanted to know if that would be an issue with the tune I'm running.

I've had a couple people suggest that. I'm waiting on my denso plugs to show up in the mail. I guess I'll put those in before I do any other tuning.

Wrong. You need the stage 2 map. Did you even read the notes? I double checked, and yep.

I have read the notes for stage 2 maps.. I don't have the supporting mods for those. I have the supporting mods only for the map that I displayed above. I don't have an upgraded intake or turbo inlet hose that all of the stage 2 maps call for..

I guess Cobb does their maps differently then. Stage 2 used to mean exhaust and HPFP, regardless of intake.

I think that map will probably be suitable. Probably not going to make much of a difference either way. Are you at all interested in learning to use Accesstuner Race and adjust the wastegate settings yourself? It's not terribly difficult and it'll guarantee that you don't hit any fuel cut or anything (plus you can smooth things out and get a nice consistent boost response across the board). I can link you to some threads that will help teach you how to do this. Really all you need is a laptop and a USB cable and you can start tuning right away. ATR is free...included with your AP.

Side note: I would recommend an intake as your next upgrade.
